Mentorship Program

At First Baptist Academy we want to offer multiple resources to our students to aid them in college and career decisions.  When a student is familiar with his or her personality traits, spiritual gifts and available resources he or she can make a well-informed career decision.  The mentorship program assists in doing just that. There are three components of this program.  They are the following:

Career Assessment Test-Students take this test at school.  The software program is designed by Crown Financial Ministries.  This test prints out a 25 page report on a student's personality and recommends different careers based on the student's personality and interests.  Juniors will be able to take this test for free.  Other students will need to pay $20 to take this test.

Spiritual Gift Test-Students take this test on the internet at www.churchgrowth.org/analysis/intro.php  We will use the results to explore different career options based on the student's unique gifts that God has given them.

The Mentorship Day-The student goes to a business/church and shadows a professional for the day to get hands on experience.

All students will take part in the Mentorship Program before their senior year.  We will use both the Spiritual Gift Test and the Career Assessment Test to determine the correct match for a mentor.  It is FBA policy that all mentors are Christian professionals. We believe this program will aid students greatly as they strive to discover God's plan for the future.  If you have any questions please email me at scrain@fbalions.org
