Building Kingdom Families

Lesson #1

In this introductory lesson we will identify five tools of preparation that will equip you with a “kingdom mindset” for parenting.  Those tools are Biblical Literacy, Cultural Apologetics, Spiritual Disciplines, Parenting and Family Issues and Passion and Devotion.

Building Kingdom Families #2

Lesson #2

This lesson focuses on the Asher family; their focus and parenting principles are found in I Chronicles and provide us with an excellent example of how we should teach our children.

Building Kingdom Families #3

Lesson #3

Children of all ages are deeply affected by the culture in which they are raised.  Lesson 3 identifies four steps to changing the culture that appear often in history.  As we grow in our ability to identify these steps we become better equipped to identify and answer the challenges they present.  In this lesson we also identify four posterity pillars that provide the foundation for a biblical family.

Building Kingdom Families #4

Lesson 4

Lesson 4 identifies the key ingredient of every biblical family – love.  5 specific biblical love principles are identified along with three additional pillars of parenting.

Building Kingdom Families #5

We continue our journey in identifying key elements of parenting God’s way by examining God’s Word and prayer.  We also emphasize the importance of family time around the table.

Building Kingdom Families #7

Lesson #7

In our last four lessons we focus on instilling kingdom virtues.  Lesson 7 looks at Wisdom, perhaps the most critical virtue to both practice and instill.  The voice of wisdom, wisdom’s description, wisdom’s source, and the benefits of wisdom are all addressed.

Building Kingdom Families #8

Lesson #8

The virtues of integrity and faith are dealt with in this issue with some very practical biblical principles for passing our faith on to the next generation.

Building Kingdom Families #10

Lesson #10

We end our series by looking at the virtues of humility and compassion and then answer the question, “So Now What?” by reviewing key elements of lessons 1-9.
