CLINIC PROCEDURES

Location: Room ED120

ELEMENTARY TEACHERS: Please call the clinic at ext. 340  to make sure the nurse is present prior to sending a child.  This will prevent students from wandering in the halls or waiting in the clinic alone.  A clinic pass must also be completed and sent with the student.

MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS: Please send all students needing medical attention to the middle school office.  The student will be issued a pass to the clinic, and the MS Office will alert the nurse that a student is on their way downstairs.

HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS:  Please send all students needing medical attention to the high school office.  The student will be issued a pass to the clinic, and the HS Office will alert the nurse that a student is on their way.

Each teacher has been provided with a Ziploc baggie with gloves and Band-Aids. If a student has a minor injury (no blood present) and only needs a Band-Aid, please use the Band-Aids in the Ziploc baggie and do not send the student to the clinic.  Please call ext. 340 if more Band-aids are needed.

If blood is present, gloves must be worn at all times.  Please call ext. 340 if more gloves are needed.  If more first aid treatment is needed, please send the student to the clinic following the procedures above.

Medication of any kind must be kept in the clinic and administered by the nurse.  Parents must sign a Request for Medication Administration Form prior to giving a child any medication.  If a child or parent brings medication to a teacher, please refer them to the nurse or front office.
