Music classes for FBA elementary school students are energetic and our students are enthusiastic about praising the Lord through the gift of music! Students explore a variety of vocal and instrumental learning activities (drum circles, music games, etc.) as they move through their elementary years. From pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, students are exposed to many different aspects of music: singing & good vocal tone, choreography & movement, musical notation & vocabulary, music from around the world and many different musical instruments. Students in 1st grade will begin to perform in an ensemble setting with xylophones, metallophones, and other Orff instruments. 2nd grade music classes are introduced to the recorder and continue developing this skill in 3rd grade. 4th grade music classes sing and play the recorder with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra at the annual LINK-UP concert as well as being introduced to playing the ukulele. 5th grade music classes continue the development of their ukulele skills by learning to strum many chords and play melodies. FBA elementary students can take part in leading praise & worship at our weekly chapels by singing with their class or being a part of JAM (Jesus and Me, ES Worship Team - 4th and 5th grade). Our entire elementary school comes together each year for our annual Grandparents Day event to present a program of elementary school music.
