First Baptist Academy provides a Visual and Performing Arts Program to foster and develop gifts, talents, and abilities for the glory of God. James 1:17a states, “Every good and perfect gift comes from above.”  We recognize that every student is uniquely created by the Master Designer, with a God-ordained purpose and plan. The connecting pages will provide you with an overview of each of the visual and performing arts courses.

  • Some of the courses offered are listed as Related Arts classes for Elementary school, while others are electives in Middle and High School.
  • For a description of these classes please click on the Family Guides link.

Performing Arts

Students at First Baptist Academy are able to participate in different venues of performing arts. Opportunities begin in Elementary school with enrichment choir and strings and students may choose to continue their area of study in MS and HS ensembles. Performances occur throughout the school year in weekly chapels, special all-school chapels, ACSI festivals and concerts.

Visual Arts

Within the Kingdom Education framework, Visual Arts is an integral component of the instructional program. It is designed to compliment and expand the content areas and to engage students whom God has gifted by developing talent and proficiency in the areas of Art, Media and Technology.

In addition to providing cutting edge technology in classroom instruction, the academy continues to explore opportunities for cross-curricular and interdisciplinary studies to reinforce learning and apply knowledge.

Other Related Arts Activities:

During the school year, the Academy hosts numerous special events to provide opportunities for public performance.

As a Kingdom Education school, we desire that our students are able to effectively articulate their faith through a variety of communication methods and mediums, including the visual and performing arts.
