FBA Athletic Statement of Purpose
The FBA Athletic Department’s purpose is to use athletics as a platform for Christ and to develop our student-athletes to have strong Christian-character and a biblical worldview. We seek individual and team excellence in a competitive athletic arena, while reaching our community for Christ.
Statement of Belief
At FBA, we believe through our athletic program, our coaches will have the opportunity to mold the character, body, intellect, and spirit of our student-athletes; while also teaching them to love the Lord with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength.
Fall 2006 - First year of FBA High School with zero high sports at the beginning of the school year.
By the end of the 2006-07 school year - 12 high school sports were added with 45 students fielding the teams.
Spring 2008 - $1 million donation was received from a donor for the football field.
Fall 2008 - FBA High School started the year with approximately 75 students.
March 2008 - The announcement was made, FBAHS would start a football program. During this time a $1.9 million synthetic field with an 8-lane track was completed.
August 2009 - The inaugural football team was made up of 28 players.
Winter 2010 - First ever FBA High School District Championship was won by Varsity Girls Basketball under Coach Jen Lines. The Lady Lions won the district title four years in a row.
9 FBAHS football athletes were named Associated Press All-State Selections.
FBA Coaches received the honor of Naples Daily News or FACE Coach of the Year 11 times.
Various FBA Student-Athletes were Winners of the Naples Daily News or FACA Player of the Year 11 times.
12 Naples Daily News Preps of the Week Winners in various sports.
15 District Championship in basketball, baseball, football, track & field, and volleyball.
8 District Runner-up trophies in various sports
38 times FBA student-athletes were selected to the Associated Press Naples Daily News or FACA All-Area Teams
14 times FBA Track & Field athletes have gone to the FHSAA State Track Championship Meet
Seven cheerleaders were named Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) All-Americans
2012 Regional Championship in football
A varsity football student-athlete was voted as the MVP of the Collier County All-Star Football Game
A varsity basketball student-athlete was nominated to the McDonald's All-American Team.
15 FBAHS student-athlete alumni committed to participate in collegiate athletics
$1.3 million Athletic Center was completed
On our Baseball Complex, over $100,000 in improvements can be seen from the sound system, scoreboard, fencing, etc....
Each year over 84% of the FBAHS student body participates in athletics at the JV and/or Varsity level. 86% participate at the middle school level.
FBA Athletics currently participates in 11 sports, fielding 37 teams (ES/MS/HS)
There are 47 coaches currently coaching at FBA
