Letter from the Middle School Principal
Middle School Snapshot: A look at what makes us great!
The First Baptist Academy Middle School is a place of blessing. The Lord told Abraham, "I will bless you...
you will be a blessing." Paul tells us in Ephesians, "We are blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus." As a Kingdom Education school, we are assertively proclaiming, applying, and extending the blessing of Christ's rule to every area of school life.
FBA Middle School is a place where professionally qualified and spiritually equipped teachers seek to integrate all academics within the framework of a Biblical worldview. All truth is God's truth. God reveals His character and attributes in math, science, history, English, and in all academics. God is not irrelevant to academics. He is the sustainer of it all. Our teachers believe it, live it, reveal it, and apply this reality in the classroom. Peter says, "Prepare the mind for action." Academics find a renewed relevance and premanence as it is given purpose and meaning within the Kingdom of Christ.
FBA Middle School is a place where students come together to share in the experiences of academics, discipleship, student activities, and leadership development. We value the student perspective as we lead them in taking ownership of their total educational experience. School spirit is on the move as cheerleaders and athletes compete in Christ-honoring sporting events. Win or lose, all teams strive to represent Christ first and foremost in all athletic competitions.
FBA Middle School is a place where students learn not just skills to make a living, but they are taught how to live life. Life is in a person. His name is Jesus. Life flows not from religion but from a relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus teaches us that if one gains the whole world but loses his soul, he has gained nothing.
FBA is a place where parents are recognized as the ones ultimatley responsible before the Lord for their child's education. We encourage parent involvement through TAPT (Teachers and Parents Together), homeroom moms, volunteer opportunities, and parent conferences. Parents play a vital role here.
FBA Middle School is a place of blessing. Parents, teachers, and students come together to be blessed and to be a blessing here at school, in the home, and in the local church. Together with Him, and because of Him, a middle school education at FBA is distinctively Christ-centered. His life for ours and now ours for Him. The Lord Jesus Christ rules in First Baptist Academy Middle School.
In His service,
John McGillicuddy,
Middle School Principal
