Letter From the Preschool Director
Letter for the Preschool Director
At First Baptist Academy, we love the little children, and count it a privilege to partner with Kingdom families in the first steps of the discipleship process. In Pre-Kindergarten, the process of training and equipping the next generation to love and serve Jesus begins. Since this is likely the
first school experience your child will have, we want to make sure it is a positive experience. Our loving, certified Christian teaches and classroom aides are dedicated to helping your child learn about God, His world and themselves.
Our curriculum is age appropriate, designed to stimulate children's physical, social, emotional and spiritual development. We use a broad variety of teaching methods to provide for integrated and interactive learning.
Children this age are bubbling with energy and a curiosity, so we structure our classroom environment to be conducive to both whole group instruction and small group cooperative learning centers. Because God creates each child with unique interests, gifts and abilities, our school day includes hands-on-learning activities for school readiness with weekly related arts activities such as Art, Music, Physical Education and Library.
Our desire is for every child to come to know Jesus Christ as Savior at an early age. We pray your child will experience the love of Christ as they interact with their teachers and participate in the daily activities of school. Our goal is to provide them with the tools they will need to be prepared for the next step of the discipleship process. Thank you for partnering with us in this life changing process.
Blessings,
Linda H. Shaw
Pre-Kindergarten Director
