FBA 2017-2018 Fall Highlights
We survived Hurricane Irma!
TAPT continued blessing FBA families with the Kingdom Family Christmas Trees.
The establishment of an FBA Academic Leadership Team. This team was put into place to ensure a purposeful and directed academic plan for the whole school.
Standardized testing (TerraNova3/SAT/ACT/AP) scores continue to demonstrate that our students place above average in the national classroom whether it be public, private or Christian.

We had an expansion of the offerings in our After School Enrichment Class program.
Special Events: Class Chapels, Grandparents’ Day, Family STEAM Night, Read Across America, 100th Day of School, ACSI Events
Sixth grade experienced a significant enrollment increase this year.
The middle school students raised nearly $3,000 in support of the Pregnancy Resource Center.
There are 10 middle school student athletes who excel on varsity sports teams and three more who compete at the JV level.
Class of 2018 had two Commended scholars. That is a total of three in the past three years at FBA.
2017 AP Scores were the best to date with 72 passing scores out of 86 total tests taken. That’s a 84% passing rate. The National average is around 50%.
The high school also had the addition of another AP class this year - AP Computer Science.
We had 8 Fine Arts students awarded “superior” ratings for their performances at our annual Solo and Ensemble Festival judged by a panel of professional musicians in December.

Florida All State Music Ensembles: The following students have been selected to participate in All State music ensembles, at the annual Florida Music Educators’ Association Convention, in Tampa, this January.

Afterschool Enrichment Class - Musical Theatre Afternoons = (MTA) took a Field Trip to Grace Place in December to help share the love of Christmas to the preschool age children there.
Don’t miss out seeing the FBA Art students when they participate in the upcoming annual Chalk Art Festival, on 5th Ave. This will take place Saturday, January 27, from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Please go out to vote for FBA! Last year FBA was awarded 2nd place in the People’s Choice 6x6 category!
The High School Music Department will participate in the Art of Foley music workshop at Universal Studios in February. Students will learn, as they perform, background music to a scene in an animated feature film! We are still seeking 3 sponsorships of $500 to help will expenses please contact Maggie Meffen for more information.
Arts Extravaganza: Come hear FBA band, choir, and string ensembles perform. Select elementary groups will perform as well. Artwork will be on display and “Artist At Work” will be creating art throughout the evening. There will even be a sneak peek of “Annie Jr”! Come to the Commons the evening of February 27 from 7:00 - 8:30 PM!
Annie JR rehearsals are in progress for our 8th annual spring presentation! Tickets will go on sale during the Fine Arts Extravaganza on February 27. Performances are April 12th and 13th. Mark your calendars!
Congratulations to the FBA Varsity Girls Volleyball Team on going all the way to the State Championship Game in Jacksonville! Our first team ever to go to States!

Varsity football player, Joe Sparacio, signed with the Boston College Eagles.
Our first Annual Lion 5K enjoyed a great turn out in support of our Track & Field team.
28 FBA student athletes were recently named as Naples Daily News All-Area Winners/Nominees for Fall Sports.

Return of J-term for high school students
Please remember that the re-enrollment time period begins January 10th. We are happy to let you know that we are, once again, able to extend an incentive of a lower registration fee of $175. This incentive period will run from Wednesday, January 10th 8:00 am EST until Tuesday, January 16th at 11:59 pm EST. At the end of this incentive period (starting onJanuary 17th at 12:00am EST) the re-enrollment fee will return to its original amount of $350.
During the incentive period, only students whose family’s account is current will be eligible to re-enroll. Students will be considered “enrolled” and placed into classes upon completion of the re-enrollment process and upon receipt of the registration fees. Please find below/attached re-enrollment instructions and tuition/fee details to help guide you through the process.
Here at FBA we appreciate the families we already have and the blessing of our loving and caring community! We are also focused on maintaining the forward momentum of growth and bringing new students into our school so please share with prospective families/parents that Open Enrollment will begin for all new students February 1st.

Once logged in click on “Family Information” from the left side menu.
Click on the “Enrollment/Re-enrollment” tab.
Next to your student’s name, click on “Start Enrollment Packet”.
Complete the Enrollment packet. This should take approx. 15 minutes.
Your information will be saved if you need to stop and come back later.
Pay the Enrollment Fee online by e-check or credit card, after you click “Review and Submit Packet”
You will be able to print a receipt for your records.
