The Gift That Keeps On Giving: 2017-2018
Dear Friends of FBA,
As we close out 2017, I want to celebrate what is happening at First Baptist Academy this fall. First, congratulations to our girls’ volleyball team, being the first FBA team to reach state finals in Jacksonville, Florida. This is truly a milestone in our athletic department. Second, our first West Point cadet graduates in two weeks. He is amongst six other FBA alumni who are currently serving in the United States military. Finally, my family and I made the transition to be your new Head of School... just in time to experience Hurricane Irma. We know the storms of life give us an opportunity to be a witness for Christ and I could not be more proud of what I saw and experienced from the students at FBA in the aftermath of the storm.
Unfortunately, today’s cultural climate in America is imploding right before us and affecting our children. The lack of truth and common sense combined with the prevalence of hatred, violence and deception has moved to new extremes. We know the solution is not ultimately political or social, but spiritual. At First Baptist Academy we are dedicated to teach a foundation that is unchanging and consistent. A foundation that will build real meaning and purpose in each life. We focus on being in a right relationship with God, self, others and His creation to prepare the next generation to lead.
We are committed to investing in each student we serve at First Baptist Academy, but we need your help!
Just like volunteers came to serve and minister alongside Naples during and following Irma, would you come alongside First Baptist Academy to financially partner with us? Our current need is $150,000. The return on your investment cannot be measured in dollars. Currently we have 585 students enrolled and approximately 1 of every 3 students receives some form of financial aid.
As the year comes to a close, please prayerfully consider FBA for your year-end giving. This is an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy in students now and make an impact for our future leaders. Your gift can be made using the enclosed card or online at fbalions.org/support-us. Additionally, with many being blessed this year in the stock market, we also invite any stock gifts (which are tax deductible for the 2017 tax year if received by December 27th).
Please feel free to contact me anytime. I would be happy to speak with you and answer any questions you might have. Thank you in advance for however the Lord leads you.
Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas!
Dr. Ray Casey

Annual Fund 2017-18
The primary purpose of the annual fund is to allow flexibility in meeting the need for services, events or training that would not be otherwise available in the general operating budget. A gift to the annual fund affects every student and every program in that it insures that students and faculty will have the ability to go beyond what our general budget facilitates. Academics, Athletics, Related Arts, Technology, and Facilities are just some of the areas impacted by a gift to the annual fund. Most independent private school associations recommend that 10% of a school’s operating budget come from annual giving. Your generosity is critical to the preparation of the next generation for life, learning and leadership.
Approximately one out of every three students who attend First Baptist Academy receives some form of financial aid. FBA is committed to helping families who are committed to a Kingdom Education but who, also, have demonstrated a willingness to stretch their own financial resources in making the education of their children a priority. The average award for financial aid is approximately $4,000 and is determined by an independent third party organization. Each application is carefully reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee to insure that all monies designated for financial aid are used properly and efficiently. We anticipate that the need for financial aid will exceed $500,000 for the school year.

First Baptist Academy is a place where the name of Jesus is exalted and teachers and parents partner together for the success of their students. As a teach at FBA, it is a blessing to have parents who partner with me for the success of their student in life, learning, and leadership. It is a blessing to have students who want to please and are eager to share what Jesus is doing in their life.
We absolutely LOVE and are so blessed to be at FBA!! We love that our three children are getting a Kingdom Education and are surrounded by such a loving staff. We couldn't ask for a better school and are so thankful that God led us to FBA!

I love the Christ-centered, Spirit-led discipling community. I love the small size of the school. I love the fact that genuine compassion and love for the students, not legalism and religiosity, drives the educational culture and informs the mentality of the teachers and administrators.
