At the beginning of the school year Middle School teachers worked on a video to get the kids excited about being in Middle School at FBA and to help in building a spirit of unity and care for each other...students and teachers together.

Mr. Wilbanks, Middle School Bible teacher, presented the video in chapel tying in a comparison of happiness & joy. He described how Middle School years can be difficult and he discussed the world's definition of "happiness" and the definition of "joy" that can be found in Christ.

Band-Aid Drive

Priya Hansen, a 7th Grade student at First Baptist Academy, had felt lead to help the Golisano Children’s Hospital in some way.  After talking and praying with her parents she approached her school, First Baptist Academy to also join her in helping the hospital by doing a Band-Aid drive.

Priya recognized that Golisano Children’s Hospital had been a blessing not only in her life, but in so many others’ lives as well.  So she felt in her heart to help them in some way to thank them for their work.  She brought the idea of collecting and donating latex fee, character Band-Aids to the staff at FBA Middle School, and they agreed!  During the first week of April, FBA Middle School collected over 250 boxes of Band-Aids for the hospital.  That was around 4,000 Band-Aids that they were able to donate to the hospital.

At First Baptist Academy, students are encouraged to make an impact in their school, families, and community.  We are so proud of our Middle School student Priya Hansen and all the students for contributing to this drive in helping our community hospital.
