9th - 12th Grade
High School is both a challenging and exciting time for your student.
At First Baptist Academy, we are preparing our high schoolers for an unparalleled future, guiding them on a journey toward excellence.
At FBA, your child isn’t a number; they’re known by name.
First Baptist Academy students have a history of achieving very impressive test scores, college credits, scholarships and awards.
In the 2019-2020 school year, 80% of all AP tests taken were awarded college credit; and 77% of all of our high schoolers participate in our athletic program.
Unparalleled Experiences for Juniors and Seniors at FBA
For upperclassmen at First Baptist Academy, J-Term internships offer unique, hands-on learning opportunities that expose students to the everyday life within different career fields. J-Term is a week to break away from the traditional eight-period academic day and take a deep dive into subject matter that sparks interest and excitement. Students can choose from a variety of hands-on programs ranging from computer programming to service trips.
J-Term is just one of the many uncommon opportunities your high school student will experience at First Baptist Academy. Contact our Office of Admissions to learn more: (239) 597-2233.
WHAT STUDENTS SAY
“I loved my J-Term experiences throughout high school and would encourage students, especially juniors and seniors, to take advantage of the opportunity. I had always been interested in the medical field, so I chose to do the Young Scholar Physician J-Term at the hospital. Shadowing doctors and nurses in the various departments really did impact where I chose to go to school and what I chose to study. I’m now in my junior year of college and I’m glad I used J-Term as a time to explore and experience what I wanted to do with my future.”
